The Turkish Angora is an elegant, ethereal, regal, statuesque, powerful and opinionated cat. This breed of cat is a controversial and very ancient breed of cats. This regal creature has long fine elegant boning with a single silky gloss coat over her slender graceful neck. She has a pretty pointed shaped face (like a fox) with her large intelligent almond shape eyes and large tufted ears set high on her head. She is like a thoroughbred of cats running with her fine muscled tone body, her silky plume of a tail flowing behind her like a feather and her ears are alert to action.

The breed is thought to be the original longhaired cat from Ankara which is part of Turkey. This part of the world is known as a home of several types of animals with silky delicately textured long coats like the Angora Rabbit and Angora Goat. There are Turkish Angoras cats still roaming the villages and countryside of Turkey virtually unchanged through the many centuries to present day.

The Turkish Angora is a very playful and intelligent breed of cat. They love to race through the house chasing imaginary prey while telling you about. They love to show off and always want to reward you with exuberant affection. They can be found in the most unlikely of places making the opened door to your closet swing back and forth while sitting on it or helping you unpack your suitcase from a trip for you by unzipping it themselves or play with light switches for entertainment.

The Turkish Angora feel it's important to be involved in every aspect of your home and life with her profound devotion of love and refusal to accept any less in return. You will find her interested in everything you do like when you are working on your computer or just cleaning around the house. She feels she must be present to supervise the proceedings even though she means well, she may not be always be welcomed but please don't tell her so however as you may hurt her feelings.

Our focus with our Turkish Angoras is not only beautiful silver, calico and solid white colors but their health and temperament as well. We are very known in the show rings for our beautiful super friendly cats and it shows in our awards we received. We love our Turkish Angoras very much and enjoy just being in their presence.
