Here
are some photos of our recently remodel cattery. We made
it bigger and better for all. These photos were taken in
the dead of winter. The outdoor run for them is open during
the spring-fall months, from around mid-April to late September
or October. Our next project is remodeling the nursery for
the kittens this year!
The
girls have all of the cattery and some parts of the down
stairs of the house when we are home but for this summer
we are remolding the some of the downstairs for the future
nursery!
The
boys are now in the same area as the girls so they don't
feel isolate from the house. They are quite happy now with
this new set-up. When possible we let them out to have access
to the rest of the cattery and the outdoor run in the spring/summer
months. The
boys have shelfs in their large areas so they can enjoy
jumping around and perching up in high spots.
This
is their new outdoor enclosure. They all enjoy the sunshine,
fresh air and still be safe. We live in an area were a
family of hawks live. So we have to make sure this enclosure
is strong and safe for the kitties.
Summer
2005
The
encloser is 9 ft long, 6 ft wide and 8 ft high, with wooden
shelves and bottom for easy cleaning and replacing. They
have throw rugs on the bottom to comfort.
They
have access to the enclosure by the use of a 6 inch drain
pipe that comes out the side of the house with a cat door
locking in the wall.
